To give you an idea who we are and where we are based, we have compiled this short introduction and welcome to our company. To anyone who is not familiar with our concrete home, East Kilbride can be described as a place with as many roundabouts and architectural wonders as Milton Keynes, except further north. Due to this we don't see summer until June and can't nip over the channel for some bargains on the wine and beer front. What we can offer are three of the finest ranges of professional power tools available from one source anywhere in the U.K.

Power Tools UK is a wholly owned division of Lumsden Stuart Limited, SC 132949, set-up as the corner stone of our E-Commerce business. The site has been designed for ease of use supplying all relevant information using manufacturers product groups or our fast find search facility. The parent company Lumsden Stuart Ltd commenced trading in December 1991 from a 2000 sq/ft industrial unit. The company was originally set up to, and still does, supply high production tooling to the U.K. engineering and manufacturing market. From the early days we recognized that not only was there the market originally targeted but also a demand for a larger range of consumable products.

Our initial trade counter was opened in 1993 to satisfy the demand from surrounding estates, we found that companies who had no requirements for specialist tooling started using the trade area for general equipment. Through talking to customers our stock profile grew with new lines introduced to cater for this market allowing our company the opportunity to expand at a steady rate. During 1995 we realized that growth had reached a level that we had to move to larger premises within the area. We were by this time storing stock in every available space, including our toilet area! prompting the move before we burst at the seams. A 9000 sq/ft warehouse ideal for the company's future requirements was located and following extensive internal refurbishment the business transferred to our present location. It was during this period in our trading history that we introduced power tools initially from Bosch then Draper, and finally DeWalt.
