DHR243RTJ Makita SDS-Plus Hammer Drill uses 2 x 18v x 5Ah Lithium Batteries and 18v Charger plus industrial quick change chuck and MakPac Box. This 18v SDS-plus Hammer Drill gives the trade superb 24mm capacity coupled to an efficient brushless DC motor providing superior productivity per charge, able to drill into concrete faster than previous models this lightweight DHR243RTJ Hammer Drill uses an easy use slide chuck for quick easy SDS-Plus bit changes.

Tradesmen can choose from the 3 mode operation rotation + hammering, hammering only and rotation only with the tool body separated into the upper and lower housings at the foot of the handle portion where the houses are joined with superb vibration absorbing cushion rubbers. This unique joint construction suppresses the transmission of vibration to the battery terminals minimizing battery failures such as terminal breakage or poor electrical contact. The DHR243RTJ Makita SDS-Plus Hammer Drill come with 5Ah lithium batteries packing plenty of punch however they can also be used in conjunction with genuine slide fit 3Ah, 4Ah or 6Ah Makita batteries

Makita Power Tools, Batteries and Chargers purchased from Power Tools UK are warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for a period of 12 months from the original date of invoice. Makita customers can extend this initial Power Tools UK warranty period out to 36 months by registering machines, batteries or chargers directly with Makita at within 30 days of purchase. Should any Makita machine fail during the extended free of charge warranty period, the returns process could not be simpler with faulty tools returned directly to Makita for inspection, repair or replacement as appropriate

  1. The easiest and quickest way to arrange Makita Warranty is to contact their dedicated warranty team on 0800 345 7942 they will assist and help to arrange the return from you at the earliest opportunity. Please note that you will be asked for certain information including date of purchase and original invoice number before the warranty claim can be processed
  2. Makita at an agreed time and date will uplift the machine from any business or residential address, (it does not need to be the original invoice address shown on your paperwork) Makita WILL NOT COLLECT from building sites
  3. Please carefully package the machine ready for transit clearly marking the RMA reference on the package in advance of the agreed time and date of uplift
  4. Makita's commitment to their product range means that they will always endeavour to keep a complete stock of all spares for current and older products within their range. Under normal conditions Makita UK will inspect, report, repair, replace and return within 7 working days

Please note that warranty does not apply where:-

  • Repairs have been made or attempted by others
  • Repairs are required because of normal wear or tear
  • The tool has been abused, misused or improperly maintained
  • Alterations have been made to the tool    
  • This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights
