A 250mm diameter opening can be cut and made good in seconds, designed for use in new or existing 18mm and 22mm chipboard or similar floors, cuts only the thickness of the board, no waste - the piece cut out is used to make good the floor, starter kit includes special tungsten carbide tipped router cutter, template and three spacer rings

All you need is a plunge router (750 watts or above) and a 30mm guide bush Cutters are available with 1/4″ or 1/2″ shank sizes, widely used and specified by architects, local authorities, and major contractors, ideal for use with the Trend T5 router

Step 1: Screw the template with a No8 countersink woodscrew, release sufficiently to enable the template to rotate freely, locate the router with the cutter and guide bush fitted into the template

Step 2: Rout at increased depths until the cutter routs through the chipboard, insert a Routabout ring in the hole and after inverting the waste piece, place this inside the ring

Step 3: The access hole is now complete, the waste piece and ring are completely flush and can be removed at any time to gain quick access, the strength of the floor is maintained and will not squeak when walked on
